Abstract

490,494. Packing shirts. STEELE, J. W. Dec. 14, 1937, No. 34592. [Class 94 (i)] A collar support is made from a blank as shown in Fig. 3 having curved cuts 10 terminating in angular cuts 18 forming a connecting portion 8 scored at 17. In use, the part 7 is inserted within the collar as shown in Fig. 1 so that the part 8 overlies the gap between the front meeting ends of the collar. The corners 15 pass into abutting engagement with the inside of the edge seam 22 and the part 4 is bent down about the score line 17 to engage the neck-engaging part of the collar, causing the tabs 20 to grip and retain the top parts of the seam 22 in position.
