490,299. Radiographic apparatus. POLLITZER, G. Feb. 16, 1937, No. 4620. [Classes 98 (i) and 98 (ii)] A screen for use in producing composite radiographs, e.g. of the lungs during inhalation and exhalation, has a series of parallel rayimpermeable elements separated by spaces of width equal to or a sub-multiple of the width of the elements, and is adjustably mounted so that after making one exposure through the screen, this may be displaced through the width of a space and a second exposure made, and so on. The screen shown comprises parallel bars 3 secured in a frame 1, 2, which is slidably mounted in a frame 9, 10, 11. Springs 7 between the frames depress the screen frame, which carries at its base a stop 6 resting on a stepped slide 16 which may be displaced by a cord 22 against the action of a spring 21 to cause the stop 6 to rest on one step after another in position for the successive exposures. Clips 12 are provided for suspending the frame from a support.
