Abstract

488,544. Dartboards. COOPER, G. L. March 14, 1938, No. 7820. [Class 145 (ii)] [Also in Group XV] A dartboard is constructed of strips of three-ply wood, arranged with the outer grains running transversely, and the inner grains running longitudinally of the strips, wound round a central core in such a manner that the edges of the strip form the front and back faces of the board. The central core 1 consists of parallel strips of plywood running transversely across the board and edge on to the face of the board. Strips 2 of plywood are wound on this core, the ends of each strip being secured by suitable means to the wound part. The strips may be " short ends," and both sides of the board are marked to represent dartboards.
