Abstract
486,199. Optical-projection apparatus. COMPARATO, S. Aug. 27, 1936, No. 23570. [Class 97(i)] To produce a relief effect, the projector B carries coloured uncorrected projection lenses 5 and the screen comprises a plurality of adjustable and removable coloured screens a ... e, each having a substantially flat major portion and its edges curved to form concave flanges, the screens being arranged to be moved so as to be used singly or in any desired combination, sources of coloured diffused light 4 surrounding the screens. The screen a is of an animal-thread fabric such as silk, and is coloured with a blue or blue-green pigment; the screen b of the same material is coloured red ; the screen c of cotton is black; the screen d also of cotton is violet or mauve, and the screen e, also of cotton, is yellow in colour. With a projector having a whitelight source and blue-coloured lenses, the screen a, b, c may be employed in superposition or the screen d alone. With a reddish light source and amber lenses, the screen e is employed. The lenses are uncorrected for aberration, distortion and astigmatism.
