485,963. Resilient mountings. GETEFO GES. FUR TECHNISCHEN FORTSCHRITT. June 23, 1937, No. 17432. Convention date, June 27, 1936. [Class 108 (iii)] [Also in Groups XIX and XXXI] A resilient mounting for instruments, instrument panels, &c. comprises a rubber member 3, of shelllike or similar hollow form, adapted to be attached to the apparatus to be mounted and to the support, one of the attachment means consisting of a metal disc or ring 4 bonded preferably to the rim of the open end of the member. Further attachment means 2 for the support or apparatus is preferably bonded to the member at its closed end. Two members 3 may be arranged as shown connected together by rings 4, the upper one supporting the apparatus 6 by means of an angle-bracket 5 and the lower being secured directly to the support 1. In a modification, the bracket 5 is clamped between the rings 4, and the upper end of the upper member 3 is connected by a second bracket to the support 1. To provide an additional damping effect an air-resisting passage may be formed, e.g. in the attachment means 2 or in the disc, if such is used. Specification 456,752 is referred to.
