485,305. Air - compressors. SEBIA, SOC. D'EXPLOITATION DE BREVETS POUR L'INDUSTRIE, L'AVIATION, & L'AUTOMOBILE. Jan. 18, 1937, No. 1417. Convention date, Jan. 17, 1936. [Class 8 (i)] A transportable air-cooled motor compressor assembly has its operable units mounted in the interior of an open ended tubular casing which forms a cowl surrounding those parts and supporting them on a chassis the whole of the parts being readily detachable and re-arranged for transport. Preferably for transport the parts are grouped in three packages (1) the compressor block, (2) the engine block, and (3) the tubular casing with the various accessories. A mono block compressor A, and a horizontal petrol motor B are mounted in a tubular casing which is formed in two parts O, O<1>, of which the latter is secured to a chassis framework X, Y, and the former is secured to side members by means of latching rods. Between the compressor A and motor B is disposed a fan C and surrounding it is a constricted portion of the casing. Other accessories such as the petrol tank E, a cooling coil of the compressor silencer D, and air filter G, are mounted on the casing in suitable parts. The whole framework is supported by springs K on a shaft J which is in two parts withdrawable from a central clamp member so that the wheels Q may be dismantled and repacked upon the casing O. Both parts of the casing are provided with brackets, straps, and similar fixing means for the accessories when they are detached from either the prime mover or the compressor.
