[Class 120 (iii)] A bobbin or tube which is mounted on and driven by a rotatable tube carried by a stationary spindle has an annular groove A cut in the wood below the bottom of the yarncarrying portion to trap any oil and prevent it rising up the bobbin and soiling the yarn; a projecting ring or bead C is left above the groove A and this ring may be reinforced by a metal strengthening hoop D spun or clamped over the bead C and secured by indentations E punched or formed in the hoop.
