Abstract

483,779. Garment hangers. BACHMEYER, G. J. April 24, 1937, No. 11822. [Class 52 (v)] A garment hanger is formed from an elongated scored paper blank the centre portion 8 of which is pressed to form a downwardlyopening channel section while the end portions 9 form upwardly-opening channel sections, the end portions then being turned about their connections 14 with the centre portion to form a triangular frame of downwardly-opening channel section members. The blank comprises layers of paper cemented together and is cut, scored, moistened and subjected to pressure and heat to form the channel sections. In this form the hangers are nested for shipment. The arms 9 are overlapped so that slots 10 in them are aligned to form an opening for the hook shank 11.
