Abstract
483,710. Disinfecting and destroying insects by steam or hot-air jets. FEDOR, S., and SERGIJE, P. J. Oct. 23, 1936, No. 28815. Convention date, Oct. 26. 1935. [Class 81 (i)] [Also in Group XIII] Apparatus, to be held in the hand during use, for disinfecting or for destroying insects by means of a jet of hot air or stearn, comprises a reservoir 14, from which water or air, put under pressure by means of a pump 5, is passed through a tube 1, regulating valve 2, check valve 3 and tube 4 to a coiled tube 8 in which it is vaporized or heated by means of a blow lamp 5, 7 or other heating means. The coiled tube 8 is preferably enclosed in a cylinder 9 and is extended in the form of an outer coil 10 leading the vapour or gas through a second regulating valve 11 and tube 12 to an outlet nozzle 15. A perforated sleeve 13 encloses the heating tubes.
