Abstract
482,704. Cathode-ray tubes. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. Oct. 20, 1937, No. 28632. Convention date, Oct. 23, 1936. Drawings to Specification. [Class 39 (i)] In cathode-ray tubes for image reproduction having an incandescent screen, broadening of the lines is avoided by dividing up the screen of highly refractory sheet metal into elements by perforations so as to reduce thermal conduction. The elements may be rectangular or other shape and the perforations may be circular, elongated or cruciform shaped. The width of the elements is not greater than that of the scanning lines, and the screen has a thickness not exceeding 6 microns.
