Abstract
482,537. Photographic cameras. DECKEL, F., (trading as DECKEL, PRAZISIONSMECHANIK UND MASCHINENBAU, F.). Jan. 20, 1937, No. 1726. Convention date, Jan. 21, 1936. [Class 98 (i)] In cameras having a shutter manually tensioned for each exposure, and a manually actuated feed mechanism for the light-sensitive material which is automatically locked after each feed, the feed mechanism is unlocked at or approximately near the completion of the exposure by a device put into operation by the shutter action. As shown the take up spool 2 operated by a knob 3 drives through gears 6, 7 a roller 4 having teeth engaging the film and carrying a detent device to prevent rotation of more than 360‹ at a time. The roller carries a cam disc 8 engaged by a pin 12 on a spring-pressed arm 9 pivoted at 10 and carrying a sliding bar 13 having a lug 15 engaging a pin 16 on the tensioning arm 17 of the shutter 18. The pin 16 engages a slot in a slide bar 24 pivoted to a lever 23 engaging a nose 22 on the bar 13. On winding the film the cam disc 8 moves the slide 13 to the right thus winding the shutter by engagement of the lug 15 with the pin 16. The tensioning arm 17 is then locked automatically by the shutter mechanism after which the lever 9 moves back under the action of the spring 11 and the pin 12 thereon engages a slot 25 in the cam to lock the feed. When a pin 21 is depressed to release the shutter the arm 17 moves to the left until it strikes the end of the slide 24 which, by means of the lever 23 moves the slide 13 to the right and releases the pin 12 from the slot 25. The camera may be provided with a device to permit operation of the shutter only when the film has been wound or the shutter tensioned.
