Abstract

481,836. Surgical fracture apparatus. GRUCA, A. May 14, 1937, No. 13719. [Class 81 (ii)] [Also in Group XIV] An operating-table, particularly for orthopµdic surgery, is carried by an elbow-shaped member 2 vertically adjustable in a supporting standard 1. The top end of the member 2 is forked to receive an adjusting segment 4 which is pivoted about a pin 6 to allow for adjustment by means of a pinion 55 about a transverse axis. The main table-part 29 is provided with an adjusting segment 52 and a longitudinally extending beam 10, which carries other table-parts 27, 28 and stretching devices 25, 31, and is pivoted about a pin 53 arranged closely adjacent its surface so that it can be swung about its longitudinal axis without undue sideways displacement of the patient lying thereon. The stretching devices 25, 31 and the table-parts 27, 28 are adjustably arranged on swingable arms 12 which are carried by a slide 11 adjustable on the extension beam 10. Other table-parts 40, 41; 42 and 26 are adjustably secured to the main table-part 29.
