480,200. Variable condensers. ROGERS, W., and WINGROVE &. ROGERS, Ltd. Nov. 13, 1936, No. 30996. [Class 37] The stator assembly of a variable condenser is mounted in the frame work on tapering pillars a of ceramic &c. material The taper may be con tinuous as shown, steppec or reversed or may give a barrel effect. In the example the pillars are pressed into holes b<1> in a channel member b, slots b2 enabling the edges to grip the pillars resiliently. The stators are connected with the pillars by plates d with " plunged " holes which fit over the tapered tops.
