[Class 39 (i)] In a mercury-vapour rectifier, the cathode spot is anchored by a nickel or nickel alloy stud or ring 16 held on the bottom of the rectifier. A water jacket 12 is fixed in place by a copper bolt 15 directly under the stud 16.
