478,912. Kinematograph projectors. MEYER, L. W. (Naamlooze Vennootschap Philips' Gloeilampenfabrieken) Feb. 8, 1937, No. 3726. [Class 97 (i)] In continuous-feed apparatus comprising a reflector rocked for optical compensation by a lever arm and cam, the bearing of the reflector is fixed with respect to the gate, and the average angular velocity of the mirror is adjusted by movement of the bearing of the mirror, or of the cam, in the direction of the lever arm. As shown, a gate 3, light source 4, condenser 5, rocking mirror 6, and projection lens 7 are mounted on a plate 8 movable by a rack 11 and pinion 10 in the direction of a lever arm 12 engaged with a cam 14 by a spring 13. Film centring may be effected by a roller 18 on a rocking lever 17. In a modification, the cam spindle is carried by a lever rotatable about the centre of a driving gear meshing with a gear on the cam spindle, and the rack and pinion are omitted.
