Abstract
478,704. Wireless receiving-apparatus. HILL, C. J. W. July 21, 1936, No. 20135. [Class 40 (v)] An interference-suppressing device for connection in the aerial lead of a receiver installed in a vehicle having an engine with spark ignition, comprises a low-pass filter with an upper cut-off frequency of about 1À5 megacycles per second. The filter comprises a coil 2, wound in three sections A, B, C of different pitch, closely surrounded by an earthed split tubular copper sheath 6, which forms part of the shunt capacity of the filter and reduces electrostatic leakage from one end of the coil to the other. The shunt capacity is supplemented by a condenser 8 and the filter is enclosed in a screen 10. Specifications 157,208, [Class 40 (v)], 443,001, and 468,763 are referred to.
