Abstract

Machine elements highly resistant to corrosion fatigue are made of a steel containing 0,05-0,30 per cent of zirconium. The steel may also contain one or both of the elements aluminium and titanium in a quantity up to 0,3 per cent for each element, and also up to 5 per cent of one or more than one or all of the elements nickel, cobalt, chromium, tungsten, vanadium, and molybdenum. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to British Specifications 210,388, [Class 82 (i)], and 394,396, [Group XV], and French Specification 757,983.
