[Class 3 (i)] In compartmented display cabinets having a single translucent mirror fronting the whole of the compartments, direct light from the lamps in the compartments 3 is prevented from reaching the eye by opaque strips 5 extending along three sides of each compartment. The strips 5'may consist of frame slats, or be formed by painting on an independent pane, but are never part of the mirror 1. The lamps may be switched on in fortuitous sequence by flashing devices which may themselves be controlled by an automatically-winding clock. The cabinet may be provided with a barometer, clock, opticalprojector, automatic camera, radio receiver, notice-boards, card receptacles, &c. Specifications 213,529 and 228,759, [both in Class 3 (i)], are referred to.
