[Class 122 (iii)] A packing for tunnel sections, pipes, &c. comprises one or more helices 1 of wire, e.g. steel and one or more fabric, e.g. hessian or jute, layers 2, 5 each coated on one or both sides witl plastic bituminous composition. Two such packings may be spaced apart by clips, wire, &c. The fabric may be folded on the helix or wound helically thereon, and the helix may be pre-flattened.
