Abstract

474,584. Rotary sprinklers. ELLEHAMMER, J. C. HANSEN-. May 25, 1937, No. 14523. Convention date, Sept. 26, 1936. [Class 69 (iii)] A reaction - type rotary lawn - sprinkler is provided with braking means comprising a pendulum oscillated by the sprinkler. The pendulum 5 which is pivoted at 11 to a rotary part of the apparatus is oscillated by an escapement 12 engaging a fixed toothed wheel 4, but a reverse arrangement may be used. The braking mechanism may be immersed in oil. The nozzle of the reaction jet is wedge-shaped in order to produce a thin sheet of water.
