Abstract

471,956. Bracket tables. OPENSHAW, E. B. Aug. 15, 1936, No. 22513. [Class 52 (v)] A collapsable table 6 for use upon the back 10 of a motor car seat has pivoted to the sides close to the edge which makes contact with the seat back curved hanging brackets 9 formed of spring metal to embrace the top of the back, stop means being provided to maintain the table in the horizontal position. Each bracket has a half twist at 11 and is pivoted on a pin 14, the ends of the bracket engaging stops 15, 16 on metal strips 12 secured to the sides of the table to limit its movement. The brackets are covered with rubber and have buffers 18 to prevent damage to the upholstery, further buffers 19 are provided on the table, and the edge which contacts with the seat back is curved and provided with a rubber strip. A rim is provided around the table.
