[Class 65 (i)] [Also in Group XIV] A hinged tip-up table or shelf 1 for kitchen cabinets is maintained in the horizontal position by a telescopic strut comprising an inner tube 6 sliding in an outer tube 5 the ends of the strut being pivoted in brackets 11 on the underside of the table and on the vertical front of the cabinet, and the inner tube being provided with a piston 7 and a stop 22 adapted to abut the closed end 23 of the outer tube -when the table &c. is horizontal.
