Abstract

470,816. Combined life-line and buoy. REFSNAES, K. J. Feb. 18, 1936, No. 4889À [Class 77] A life-line is composed of a number of rope elements 1 each having at one end an adjustable loop 2 to be placed around the body of a person, and is attached at one end to a life-buoy 6. The buoy 6 is weighted at one side to maintain its equilibrium, and has a groove 9 to receive the rope if the buoy is placed within the loop when used. Each loop is adjusted by a clasp 8 composed of cork with a metallined bore to receive the double rope of the loop. The buoy 6 may contain an electric battery and carry an electric lamp.
