Abstract
469,985. Knapsacks. AAS, A. Nov. 17, 1936, No. 1996/37. Divided out of 469,362. [Class 133] The upper fastening points of the shoulder straps 9 of a knapsack mounted upon a separate carrying frame 1, 2 are disposed a distance of 10 to 15 cm. or more below the uppermost portion 3 of the frame, and the straps are of such length that the upper portions of the frame and sack are maintained level with or project above the shoulders of the wearer. The straps may be attached to the upper arms 8<1> of the frame by pieces 10, as shown, or may be secured to the cross-piece 8. The leather hood 6<1>, enclosing the upper frame part 3 and to which the upper end of the sack is attached, is formed with holes for the passage of straps 4 serving for the attachment of a blanket &c. The lower portion of the sack is so fashioned that the bottom is inclined upwardly.
