469,673. Television. BAIRD TELEVISION, Ltd., and BAIRD, J. L. Jan. 30, 1936, No. 2854. [Class 40 (iii)] A single aperture, from which light is traversed over an object or screen, undergoes a real or apparent displacement which corrects distortion of the area traversed. The aperture is defined by the intersection of two slots 2, 4, of which at least one moves during the scanning. Alternatively, an image of the aperture is displaced by a reciprocating or rotating mirror. The size of the aperture is varied during the scanning to make the lines contiguous, as described in Specification 440,917.
