Abstract

469,229. Breast-boxes of paper-making machines. ROLLS, O. Dec. 21, 1936, No. 35041. Convention date, Dec. 20, 1935. [Class 96] Fibre-clusters &c. are skimmed from the surface of pulp by a hopper 12 extending completely across the last section 4 of the breast-box 3 of a paper-making machine. Racks 18, 19 are adjustable along rods 16, 17 on a float 15 and the hopper 12 to control the difference of level in compartments 9 and 4 respectively, and gear with intermeshing pinions 20, 21. Alternatively, the float 15 and hopper 12 may each be secured to a common verticallyguided rod.
