468,767. Pianofortes. CHALLEN & SON, Ltd., C. H., and EVANS, W. Jan. 3, 1936, No. 17909. Divided out of 456,199. [Class 88 (ii)] Adjustable links 18, connecting the keys 10 to the sub-key levers 26 in a piano, have a tongue-and-fork hinge-pin connection 13 at their ends, with the keys and levers. The keys 10 are pivoted intermediate their ends at 27. The links have left- and right-hand threaded engagement in end-sockets 15, 21, or the threads at one end may be omitted, the links being freely rotatable in the corresponding sockets. Flats 23 are provided in the links to facilitate turning them for adjustment. The hinge-pins 13 may be bushed in resilient felt in the tongues or forks to allow sideways movement or inclination of the links. Specification 456,199 is referred to.
