488,203. Accordions. BERLIN, M. H. Jan. 1, 1937, No. 90. [Class 88 (ii)] Over the note-keys 12, 13 of a piano-accordion are arranged for ready actuation three duplicate sets of four " stop-keys " 43 controlling the apertured slides 27 ... 34. A corresponding stop-key from any set actuates, by lever arms 62, 64 and link 63, one of four shafts 57 ... 60. These shafts, through further arms and links, and bell-cranks, rotate four further shafts which by further arms actuate pairs of slides 33, 34 controlling the reeds of the " white " and " black " low notes ; 29, 30 controlling " white " and '' black " high notes ; 28, 32 controlling middle-tremolo ranges ; and 27, 31 middle ranges. Staggered over the stop-keys 43 are other keys 53 by which two adjacent keys 43 may be depressed simultaneously.
