Abstract
468,696. Moulds for kerbs &c. ; fastenings. WINGET, Ltd., and LANGFORD, H., and MALIN, L. D., [Representative of MALIN, W. G.]. Jan. 6, 1936, No. 502. [Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Group XXV] A channel-shaped kerb mould 1 is closed at each end by loose walls 2, 3 held in position by common clamping means comprising cranked lever arms 7 engaging between the wall 2 and abutments 12, connected by tie-rods 8 to the wall 3, the arms being free to move independently in the plane of application of the pressure which is applied by a single screw, cam, or wedge-controlled member. The abutments 12 may be welded or otherwise fixed at the ends of the tie-rods. The pressure-applying member may be a block 5 sliding on a squared section of a pin 4, and moved down by a nut 13 on a screw-threaded section 4<x> or by cam or wedge means. The lever arms 7 may freely engage in radial recesses 6 in the block 5 and have slotted or forked ends 7<x> engaging the rods 8. The pin 4 may be fixed to the end wall 2. The rods 8 may be connected to the wall 3 by nuts 10 secured by cross-pins or by locknuts 11. The arms 7 may alternatively be pivoted to either the block 5 or the abutments 12. Specification 403,960 is referred to. According to the Provisional Specification, the abutments may be attached directly to the mould body.
