[Class 38 (ii)] [Also in Group XL] Relates to the supply to television receiving apparatus and consists in supplying the anode 14 of the cathode-ray tube 12 and the relaxation oscillation generators 21 through a voltage doubling rectifier and the receiver separately through a full wave rectifier 3. This enables separate adjustment of the various elements to be effected. The anode 14 is supplied from the full output voltage of the voltage doubling rectifier. The supply for the relaxation oscillation generators 21 is tapped off from across the condenser 7 through an impedance 32 which may be varied to give adjustment. To give the required voltage for the anode 14 the transformer 4 has an additional secondary winding 1 which is included in the circuit of the upper rectifying valve. A resistance 5 is provided in the primary circuit of the transformer to enable adjustment to be effected. The effect of ripple in the supply to the receiver 33 is overcome by tapping the output to the control electrode of the tube 12 from across the diagonal of a bridge formed by a resistance 25 in series with the final valve 24 of the receiver and a potentiometer 26 across the supply.
