Abstract

466,458. Respiratory apparatus. DRAGER, O. H. Aug. 24, 1936, No. 23177. Convention date, Aug. 24, 1935. [Class 81 (ii)] In respiratory apparatus embodying a gas cylinder, in order to permit correct alignment of the cylinder and the reducing valve, the cylinder 1 is secured to the base 6 of the apparatus by a metal or other strap 2 pivotally connected at 3 to a flexible bracket arm 4 partly encircling the cylinder, the free end of the strap having a bifurcated lug 10 engaged by a swing bolt 14 on the arm 4. The bolt 14 carries a nut 17 counterbored to receive a flange on the bolt whereby detachment of the nut is prevented. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes a closed-circuit apparatus embodying the above construction and also having a reducing valve pivotally-mounted on the base of the apparatus and secured to the cylinder. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
