Abstract

465,678. Spectacles. WISEMAN, M. Feb. 6, 1936, No. 3662. [Class 97 (i)] In a non-metallic or partly metallic spectacle frame, each side piece 7 has moulded or let into it a metal member 9 extending from its end between the bifurcations 5, 6 of a lug 4 extending from the rim 3, and a hinge pin 11 passes through the bifurcations and the member 9. The metal member extends beyond the pin 11 and its end 12 is shaped to abut against a seating formed in the lug so as to limit the opening of the side piece. Alternatively a stop may be formed by shaping the end of the piece 7 to abut against the extremities of the bifurcations 5, 6. The member 9 may be made integral with a reinforcing wire 8.
