465,460. Moulding rubber by dipping. SPANEL, A. N. Aug. 2, 1935, No. 8671 /37 . Divided out of 464,019. [Class 87 (ii)] A flat rubber article such as a sheet is formed by dipping, e.g. from latex, the margins of the article having reinforcements formed during the dipping operation. To avoid any tendency to curl, the form used is flat, or is an endless band, the section of the band on which the dispersion is set being maintained flat, so that the sheet produced has a permanent flat set. The reinforcement may be produced at a shoulder on the form, an accumulation of rubber being retained there by surface tension against the action of gravity. In one form the sheet has three flaring edge reinforcements 210 produced by surface tension, and a tear-drop edge 212 produced by gravity, corner openings 215 having flaring edges. The form used has panels 248, 249 bounded on three sides by a raised border 250 having abrupt edges 251, 252. The latex is deposited, dried and cured on this form, and the portion on the border 250 is torn away along the lines of weakness produced by the abrupt edges such as 251. Bosses 256 generate the holes 215 in the sheet,
