Abstract

464,707. Boxes &c. JACOBS, A. F. Dec. 16, 1935, No. 34832. [Class 18] The mouth edges of a laundry box &c. of leather, vulcanized fibre, &c. are held in n-shaped strips 9, Fig. 3, of non-metallic material, preferably vulcanized fibre, by riveting the three thicknesses together. Ribs 9a, 9b are rolled in the strip 9. The box is made from a blank comprising the two sides and the base with strengthening ribs 2, 2a, Fig. 4, and separate end members also formed with a strengthening rib. The ends are riveted to the flaps 4 on the main blank and vulcanized fibre corner pieces are riveted to the outside of each corner where the base, a side, and an end meet.
