Abstract

464,213. Feeding pallets from stacks. POWEL & HILL, Ltd., POWEL, W. S., and HILL, F. Nov. 6, 1935, No. 30734. [Class 117] In a device for feeding pallets to a machine for making concrete tiles, bricks, &c. of the kind in which the pallets are stacked in a pile from the bottom of which they are fed singly by a reciprocating pusher, a plurality of pushers are provided acting alternately so as to increase the capacity of the machine, In the device described, the pallets 3 are delivered from a magazine by two pushers 12 acting alternately and carried by arms 5, 6 reciprocated in opposite directions by connecting rods 7, 9 and cranks 8, 10. The pushers have preferably renewable shoulders 17 and are pivoted to the ends of the arms 5, 6 so as to enable them to make the idle return movement under the pile of pallets. They are restored to feeding position by spring controlled trip levers 14, set-screws 18 being provided to adjust the amount of the projection of the shoulder 17 to suit the thickness of the pallets.
