[Class 72] [Also in Group XI] In apparatus for the continuous tempering of wires, band or similar strip material in which the latter are heated by induced current, the wire &c. 1 is passed over rollers 2, 3 and through an induction coil 8 immersed in a liquid bath 7 and is then tempered in the bath 10 between the coil 8 and a roller 4 under which it passes out of the bath. The liquid e.g. oil or an electric conductive metal such as lead, is kept at the temperature necessary for tempering.
