Abstract
461,903. Nesting - seats; joints. GLENISTER, W. G. Aug. 29, 1935, No. 24100. [Class 52 (ii)] In nesting-seats of the kind in which the rear legs lie in vertical planes outside the planes of the side edges of the seat and the front legs, the seat and legs are connected by brackets each comprising a vertical plate d or g, Fig. 1, and a horizontal plate e or i arranged transversely of the vertical plate and lying in a plane perpendicular to that of the vertical plate, and extending beyond one edge of the vertical plate. The vertical plate d is screwed to the inside of the rear leg, and the plate e, which is located about the centre of the plate d, is screwed to the under side of the edge of the seat a, preferably in a recess. The plate f is screwed to the outside of the front leg, and the plate i, located at the top of the plate f, is screwed to the seat. In a modification, the vertical plates j, k, Figs. 3 and 5, are united by a single horizontal plate l.
