Abstract
Cod-liver oil for use as cattle fodder is emulsified in water by means of alkali metaphosphate, alone or in conjunction with alkali pyrophosphate. Other emulsifying agents may be added. According to an example an emulsion contains cod-liver oil, tragacanth, gum arabic, sodium metaphosphate, glycerine and water.ALSO:Cod-liver oil emulsions for use as cattle fodder are prepared with the use of alkali metaphosphates, alone or in conjunction with pyrophosphates, as emulsifying agents. Other emulsifying agents may be added. According to an example, the emulsion contains cod-liver oil, tragacanth, gum arabic, sodium metaphosphates, glycerine and water.
