Abstract
459,997. Trees or fillers for boots and shoes. WINKLE, BRUDER, Altenstadt, Iller, Germany. June 4, 1936, No. 15669. Convention date, June 4, 1935. [Class 17 (iii)] The toe portion of a tree or filler 1 is expanded laterally to stretch a shoe at the ball portion by a V- or U-shaped spring 2, the ends of the arms of which are riveted at 3, 4 to the bottom flanges of the filler. A clip 6, which may slide freely on the arms of the spring 2, when the sides of the filler are squeezed together with the filler in a tilted or inclined position, is used to limit the expansion of the spring. A coil 5 in the spring 2 serves as a stop to the clip 6 at the front end.
