Abstract

459,287. Automatic exchange switches. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and GOULD, J. R., 63, Aldwych, London. June 1, 1935, No. 32632/36. Divided out of 459,233. [Class 40 (iv)] To enable the vertical magnet VM of a twodirectional switch to act as a relay during the rotary movement, the switch is modified so that, on the first rotary step, the magnet is relieved of the vertical-ratchet load and a cam RC moves a pivoted member RL to close rotary off-normal contacts NR and to couple by means of an arm BR the vertical-magnet armature VA to a set of relay contacts vm. A groupselector circuit requiring no other relay is described, and is identical with one described in Specification 459,233.
