[Class 97 (i)] In the projection of colour record films made from negative films produced as described in Specification 458,427, viz., by exposing alternate picture areas (the " blue " series) through a weak blue or blue-green filter which transmits the whole or substantially the whole of the visible spectrum whilst toning down the red end of the spectrum, and by exposing the other areas (the " red " series) through a red or reddish-yellow filter which absorbs the blue or blue-green rays, the " red " images are projected through a red or reddishyellow filter, and the " blue images are projected without a filter or through a weak blue or blue-green filter which passes substantially the whole of the spectroscopic range but tones down the red end of the spectrum. A weak amber filter may also be arranged in the projection beam. The filters may be prepared in the manner described in Specifications 458,427 and 458,457, and may be mounted on a rotating carrier or applied to the film. The " red " and " blue " images may be projected simultaneously in pairs by means of an adjustable double lens or prism device, or may be projected successively.
