Abstract
In gas - separating processes such as the recovery of olefines from distillation gases by means of solid adsorbents or liquid solvents, the first fraction of gas expelled in the regeneration of the absorbent medium is reabsorbed in a medium which has already been charged in the normal way, whereby a further concentration of the valuable constituents is effected. Impurities such as carbon dioxide may be removed by scrubbing before the second absorption. The second fraction of the expelled gas may also be treated in known manner for removal of some of its constituents and the residual gas then treated in the same way as the first fraction.
