456,280. Fourdrinier paper - making machines. NEILSON, M. O., 602, Driveway, Ottawa, Canada. April 5, 1935, No. 10647. Convention date, April 9, 1934. [Class 96] A Fourdrinier paper-making machine slice 15 held in brackets on side walls of the pond 13 and vertically adjustable as by screws with locking-nuts &c., has a separate, tapered lip 41 of rubber, thin metal, &c., received in a channel 23 of a bronze casting 20 extending along the slice and housing plungers 35 held to the strip by studs 40 to allow local, vertical adjustment by screws 34 with hand-wheels 33. The strip 41 may be grooved to receive adjustable end-sections, the deckles being adjusted to conform, the gap between them and the slice being filled on each side of the machine by a stationary deckle 58 on an angle bracket 53 with screw adjustment at 51, the deckle 58 being of rubber, and pressed against the wire-cloth by an indulating spring steel strip 60.
