454,547. Electric couplings. CINCH MANUFACTURING CORPORATION, 2335, West Van Buren Street, Chicago, U.S.A.- (Assignees of Del Camp, S. M.; 1424, South 19th Avenue, Maywood, Illinois, U.S.A.) April 30, 1936, No. 12317. Convention date, May 10, 1935. [Class 38 (i)] A contact lug 5 for use in electric wiring installations comprises a strip of conducting metal in one end of which an eyelet 6 is formed. A T-shaped aperture 7 is punched from the opposite end, and, from part of the displaced material, a projection 8 is formed. A number of lugs are attached to a bar 1 of nonconducting material by means of the eyelets. The projections 8 engage the lower edge of the bar and prevent the lugs from swinging laterally towards each other. The T-shaped slots may receive and hold a bunch of wires A in horizontal or vertical alignment. The lower edge of the lugs may be curved to aid in holding the wires together before soldering them in position. The strip may be attached to a supporting structure by means of brackets 2.
