[Class 87 (ii)] In a machine for moulding plates or strips of synthetic resin or other thermo-setting material, the material is fed between and enclosed by straight line drawn section steel bands o, n, which are led between pairs of rolls c, d, e, f and guide plates and through a heating device u, v whereby the material is compressed and hardened. The distance between the bands is gradually reduced to the required cross-section. The strip may be pulled through by tongs or clamps r. The rolls may be adjusted as by screws h. The material is fed from a reservoir l and the bands are led, one along a platform p and the other through rollers q. Material is removed at the sides by stripper bars and falls through apertures in the platform. The bands may be designed to mould ornamentation on the strip The heating device comprises electric heating elements t. A thermometer k may be provided on the heating device
