Abstract

452,431. Railway signalling systems. WOOD FORDE, J., anc WESTINGHOUSE BRAKE & SAXBY SIGNAL CO., Ltd., 82, York Road, King's Cross, London Feb. 20, 1935, No 5484. [Class 105] Signals controlled from a remote point by code currents over a normally energized line circuit, are returned to danger on failure of the line current. A slow release relay SR at the signal location B, drops on failure of the line current, and by opening its contact 10 breaks the stick circuit of a signal relay HR which was picked up when a relay D responded to the code for clearing the signal. At the central control office A a relay OP opens its contacts 16, 17 to de-energize the line circuit if any of the power sources should fail. Specification 415,787 is referred to.
