Abstract

451,153. Kaleidoscopes. SCHEELE, A. W., 22, Baselerstrasse, Lichterfelde West, Berlin. July 30,1935, No. 21665. Convention date, Aug. 1, 1934. [Class 97 (i)] A kaleidoscope is adapted foi detachable connection to a lamp, e.g. a pocket lamp, to facilitate viewing the pattern or to enable the pattern to be projected. In the form shown, the lower end b of the casing a of the kaleidoscope is square, oval, &c. in section and fits a correspondingly shaped portion of the lamp casing : alternatively, the connection may be made by e bayonet &c. joint. The kaleidoscope comprises two mirrors c, the space between them being preferably closed by a cardboard &c strip c<1>. The pieces g forming the pattern are enclosed between glass discs e, f. A lens d is provided at the end of the casing a. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, the kaleidoscope may be connected to the lamp by an intermediate member shaped at one end to fit the kaleidoscope casing and at the other end to fit the lamp. Also, the combination of kaleidoscope and lamp may be mounted in an outer casing provided with a screen on which the patterns can be projected. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
