451,076. Supply meters. LANDIS & GYR AKT.-GES., 1, Hofstrasse, Zug, Switzerland. Dec. 5, 1935, No. 33745. Convention date, Dec. 15, 1934. [Class 37] Direct-current ampere-hour meters employed in impulse measurement systems are provided with a compensating field winding for producing either a forward torque on the armature or an opposing torque on the brake disc for the purpose of compensating the meter for armature reaction and for the electrical inertia produced when the condensers feeding the armature circuit are rapidly charged and discharged. Incoming impulses actuate relays 2 to energize condensers 3 and the armature 6 which rotates with a transmitter 13 impulsing relay 14. The circuit of relay 14 includes a further impulsed condenser 3<1> energizing the compensating winding 12 to effect the desired compensation on the brake disc 10, normal field windings 8, 11 being energized from battery 4.
