451,012. Rubber films and sheets. INTERNATIONAL LATEX PROCESSES, Ltd., 10, Lefebvre Street, St. Peter Port, Guernsey. Oct. 22, 1935, No. 29126. Convention date, Nov. 28, 1934. [Classes 70 and 87 (ii)] Rubber film or sheets having perforations or having protuberances on the surface, are made by spraying latex, or other rubber dispersion, on to a perforate backing, coagulating the latex on the backing, and removing the coagulated deposit. Depending on the viscosity of the dispersion and the rate of spraying, the deposit either passes through the holes, forming a perforate sheet having protuberances round the perforations, as shown in Fig. 4, or films over the holes forming projections having concave ends as shown in Fig. 8. If a sheet having projections round the perforations, as shown in Fig. 4, is used as a backing, a plain perforated sheet free from protuberances, as shown in Fig. 6, may be formed. Colour effects may be obtained by spraying first with a latex of one colour to form a perforated sheet and then with latex of another colour to film over the holes.
