450,509. Nesting paper containers. JAGENBERG WERKE AKT.-GES., 107, Himmelgeisterstrasse, D³sseldorf, Germany. Dec. 30, 1935, No. 35966. Convention date, Jan. 26. [Class 18] A nesting device for paper containers which is equipped with a counter or counting mechanism operated by the containers entering the pile, is characterized in that the stop A, which gives support to the lower end of the pile, is moved in the longitudinal direction of the pile by the counting mechanism. The counting mechanism comprises a spring biassed ratchet device 13, 15 operated by an electromagnet 10 energized through contact fingers 8, 9 when a feeler 7 is moved by the passage of a container blown through a tube 1 towards the spring guides F, f. The stop A, preferably carried by an endless belt 33, and furnished with a flexible facing, is spring urged into contact with the underside of a base plate 30 and moves through a slot therein to carry the nest of containers. On reaching the angle bar 36 the pile is delivered by hand or by another conveyer. A number of stops A may be provided on a single conveyer chain, the piles of nested containers being guided to a table from which they are removed by a plunger.
